THE CONCRETE CANVAS PROJECT

The Concrete Canvas Project revitalizes neglected urban areas—like abandoned lots or rundown courts—by merging basketball, street art, and community engagement. Teams of artists, athletes, and local youth collaborate to redesign these spaces with vibrant murals, custom-designed playing surfaces, and interactive digital installations (e.g., LED-lit courts that change color based on movement or game dynamics). A mobile app lets users book time on the courts, submit artwork, and vote on future transformations.

BOUNCEBACK: REHABILITATION THROUGH BASKETBALL

BounceBack is a rehabilitative basketball program designed for at-risk youth, recently released inmates, and individuals recovering from addiction. It combines competitive basketball leagues with job training, therapy, and life skills development. Every team must complete community service projects before qualifying for playoffs. Businesses partner with the league, offering participants paid internships based on their performance both on and off the court.
